The Lake District Challenge 2012
Each year, the Gatwick Diamond Business Association Charities group embark on a major Challenge as a key fundraising initiative. In June 2012, this involves a team taking on a 24 Peak Challenge in the Lake District. A team of 24 people will be representing the charities and walking 24 peaks in 24 hours! Training has already started for those committing their time and legwork!
The Gatwick Diamond Business Association Charities Group was created in order to provide our member Charities with the opportunity to raise their profile amongst member organisations and to encourage members as businesses and individuals to offer support to the Charities.
Support for the Charities can be offered in a variety of meaningful and helpful ways:
- Individual volunteering
- Team Challenges within your business; organised activity with the Charity on a specific task / event
- Activity that complements your company’s Corporate & Social Responsibility (CSR) policy
- Pro-Bono or discounted provision of professional expertise e.g. web development, training, printing etc.
- Pro-bono or discounted provision of products / services e.g. Mini-bus hire
- Financial donation
- Fundraising activity on behalf of the charity e.g. running a marathon
I encourage all members to wholeheartedly support this year’s 24 Peak Challenge as generously as you can. Please contact me if you’d like to find out the different ways in which your business can offer support.
Thank you!
